Fall Box Lacrosse
The Loveland Girls Fall Box League is for beginners and experienced players. It is an excellent opportunity for kids playing other sports in the Spring to give lacrosse a try. It’s fun, laid-back (no practices) and inexpensive.
Each Age Group will be held at the Loveland Box Field (9783 Union Cemetary Rd, Loveland, OH 45140) and will play Sunday Afternoon/Evenings. The season will start the Sunday after Labor Day and run 5 consecutive weeks. Times will be communicated once registration is closed.
Our 2nd-4th Grade Camps will spend the first 30 minutes working on the basics of lacrosse such as ground balls, throwing, catching and cradling. Middle School Players will serve as instructors and help the beginners on technique through fun games. The final 30 minutes will be spent playing small sided scrimmages.
Our 5th-6th Grade League will feature brief, 15-minute coaching sessions aimed at both fundamentals and lacrosse IQ. We will then go right into pick up games with SOLOA referees. Coaching will be kept to an absolute minimum during games to allow girls to learn to play without interference.
Our Middle School League will consist of 7v7 40-minute games. There will be 2, 20-minute halves with a running clock and a 5-minute halftime. SOLOA referees will be present.
We look forward to our second season!!!
